After reading/contributing to this thread last night, I got the need for Chinese food. So I went on a hunt for soup dumplings in Los Angeles and found a couple places on the internet that were reviewed for having XLB (soup dumplings) in Monterey Park. They are called XLB because, Xiao Long Bao is the real name.

It's good to know what we have XLB soup dumplings in Los Angeles but I want to add, there not as good as the ones at Joe's Shanghai in NYC.
I will definitely go for XLB again and often in LA as there seems to be about 10 restaurants that serve them in the Alhambra area.

Supreme Dragon in San gabriel is probably the best Siao long bao in LA. There's a popular place in Arcadia but I don't think its any good. The best in the world is definitely in Shanghai.

Reason: Actually, the resturant changed its name. It appears that you went to the one I was talking about. I like the small place next door better though.
