After reading/contributing to this thread last night, I got the need for Chinese food. So I went on a hunt for soup dumplings in Los Angeles and found a couple places on the internet that were reviewed for having XLB (soup dumplings) in Monterey Park. So, off we went, (Monterey Park is about 15 miles from my home.)
They are called XLB because, Xiao Long Bao is the real name.

It's good to know what we have XLB soup dumplings in Los Angeles but I want to add, there not as good as the ones at Joe's Shanghai in NYC.
I will definitely go for XLB again and often in LA as there seems to be about 10 restaurants that serve them in the Alhambra area.

Those look like some good dumplings right there and remind me of Dim Sum. I miss Dim Sum and good chinese food... real authentic chinese food and not the americanized garbage
