Install of XM
Antenna in Spoiler

Tools Needed: T-27 Torx
bit or Screwdriver, BMW Wire Pulling Tool, Patience. Remove plastic housings
from connectors to pull through car.

My new baby. 2002
X5 3.0 with Sport, Premium, Rear Climate, Cold Weather, Xenon.

Terk TRK-SR2 with
cover removed. 11 Torx screws around the bottom.

Remove bottom
rubber gasket and gasket along wires as well. Leave tape intact.

Rear spoiler or
wind deflector.

2 screws each on
left and right.

Remove cover to
access 2nd screw on each side.

One screw in
middle. Put this one back first when reassembling.

Removal of middle
screw.

Just lift off top
of spoiler.

View of inside of
spoiler. There is no room underneath this piece.

Run wires with
washer hose. Left side is better for me.

Unplug hose and
slide off grommet to run wires. It's on tight, but it will go.

Feed wires through
holes. Run wires through rubber connector.

Use BMW wire
pulling tool. Actually, it's a wire hanger.

Pull wires through
one at a time. Be patient and work it through.

Remove one screw
and unsnap left side rear trim. Feed wires through hole in pad.

Feed down behind
trim to left side compartment. Reassemble. You're done!
