Angry picked up ne x5 bmw assist doesn't work

I picked up the new ride Tuesday night. So psyched!! Everything is great. The only thing is that yesterday I called BMW assist to make sure the activation went through and they said they can't "see" the car. The salesperson said she did everything she was supposed to on her end and now I have to bring it in for service. ALREADY!!! argggh! Has this happened to anyone else? Could it be somethig little that was overlooked?

yeah, We took delivery tuesday night and the salesperson said to call on wednesday to make sure everything went through. So I did, I pressed the red SOS button, the call went through, I talked to the rep but they said they couldn't "see" the vehicle. Like the GPS tracking wasn't working or something. We didn't get NAV so that doesn't give any clues. What gives? Should I make the call through the idrive itself instead of the red button? Do you think that would make a difference?

Change your location and try again.......

OBTW that should have been checked at the dealer
at the time of delivery......

i tried it 3 different times yestarday in 3 different locations. what a pain. I hate dealers, even though I work at one. It wouldn't be a big deal if the dealer was closer, but they're 50 + miles away. they offered to pickit up and drop it off, but still, thats a 100 miles on my lease.

Yep, when our E90 was delivered the dealer sat in the car with us and walked us through the call/setup. I'm shocked that they let you drive off the lot without helping you set BMW Assist up.

my wife and the sales person sat in the car and supposedly set it up. She just said to call the next day to make sure everything went through.

I have never heard of having to call the next day to check up. My last two cars have had the BMW Assist and I have never had to call to check. The dealer should have set it up for you. My salesman called the assist center with me in the car and confirmed the set up.
(Also, I know mine does work because I accidently called while playing with the iDrive and had an operator ask if I was okay and tell me my location.)

I should check BMW Assist to see if it's even setup. I haven't touched it once and we didn't sit together in the car at delivery to do anything with it.
