The Bible is clear: God does not approve of or condone homosexual practices. He also disapproves of people who “consent with those practicing them.” (Romans 1:32) And “marriage” cannot give homosexuality a cloak of respectability. God’s direction that “marriage be honorable among all” precludes homosexual unions, which he considers detestable. That's who decides!!!

We need the stats. Does it really change any- thing to take it to 55mph? If so, what are the changes?

1974 — 55 mph National Speed LimitAs an emergency response to the 1973 oil crisis, the U.S. Congress and President Richard Nixon imposed a nationwide 55 mph (90 km/h) speed limit in 1974 by requiring the limit as a condition of each state receiving highway funds, a use of the Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution[3].
It was also believed that, based on a drop in fatalities the first year the limit was imposed, the 55 mph limit increased highway safety. Other studies were more mixed on this point, and a Cato Institute report showed that the safety record actually worsened in the first few months of the 55 mph speed limit, suggesting that the fatality drop was a short-lived anomaly that regressed to the mean by 1978.[4] After the oil crisis abated, the 55 mph speed limit was retained mainly due to the possible safety aspect.
In 1986 The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, published a study claiming that the total fuel savings during the national speed limit was no more than 1% overall.[5]

There is NO WAY I'm traveling west of the Mississippi & east of the Sierras at 55mph - 454 miles of Nebraska, 8.0 hrs vs 5.5 - THAT would be cruel & inhumane

Besides, I-495 around La-La-Land is already posted 55mph - to do so puts you so slow to the actual flow of traffic, you ARE in danger

I still say you cannot protect people from their own stupidity - just last week, a pregnant mother drove thru a stop sign and got hit by a TRAIN on a bright sunny day with clear sight of the tracks - her 4yr died, she died the next day, the baby was saved by c-section - 4 days the news media lamented her tragedy, NOT ONCE did they mention how stupid this was to happen - this was a freight train doing 25mph that blares its horn before every crossing - she just ignored the stop sign - NO LAW will cure this, despite what Congress thinks
