MLG - great work...you know you want to wait until after the election is over to bail on us. Now that Eric moved over to the mini board we need someone to stir up some political BS

Good luck.

Good luck.

Sure I'm passionate but I'm not INSANE. Besides, I said I'm going to be spending less time around here. Prior to the last couple of days I was on the forum every day. There is plenty of time left over to BS about our terrible choices for President.

Though I'll do my best to tone things down for Motor and Quick.

Now back to drawing that damn chair on my canvas.

Funny thing about that is there are a few places you can send a digital photo and they will print the photo directly to a canvas. You then have it stretched and mounted. Do some photo-shop brush effects to the photo prior to printing and wallah...You have a masterpiece.

They are all great, and I'm sure your sons portrait will come out spectacular and will remain on the wall when he has kids! But my favorite is the Jack Nicholson sketch!!! "HERE'S JOHNNY!"

Kool...I did that last thinking I wanted to see if I could draw a face everyone would recognize. My choice of faces was easy...Jack Attack. Problem is that photo does the drawing no justice.

I myself can be halfway decent with sketching/charcoal. I can definitely tell of the detail of proportion and shading... in the paintings as well. Natural talent in you.

Hey brother - just saw the picture on this project that you will be doing. Your right, that chair is going to kill you. It will look awesome when it's all finish. He may have grown by then but, at least you got a picture to go by.

Thanks...I'm drawing the outlines now and already need a break. It's been awhile and I forgot how hard it is to draw on canvas board. Nothing like paper so it makes photo-realism much harder to pull off. I've started off by defining the edges, top of the head, lowest leg and edge of the chair to give me some boundary's to work from. As they say though...The devil is in the details.

I'm estimating about 100 hours start to finish working on this about 2 hours a day.
