I think so - I never set anyone to Ozzie mode so I'm not 1000% sure :-)

Hi all, i have a slightly different spin on this problem.....
The reason i have been trying to do this upgrade is because i have got a new 2008/2 Professional Europe DVD. I am currently running 2004/1 High in a 2004 X5 3.0d facelift.

I followed all the instructions and eventually managed to download v32. I installed it into my car and voila! I now have 4/1/00 with slightly smoother fonts and even perspective view!

Here's the rub. My new disc wont work!!!! It just keeps saying incorrect disc. My old one still works tho.....

Is this something to do with it being a professional dvd instead of a High dvd like my old one?

EDIT!

Scratch that, ive found the answer on a different thread.

Professional is for idrive, i need a high......... oops!

Also, i still dont appear to be able to enter a postcode. Is that something i will get if i eventually get the new dvd to work?

Thanks for all te advice on installing the os update. Worked a treat for me!

Your x5 is an I-bus car and only uses the High disks. The Prof. is for non e65/66 MOST bus cars (fiber optic) such as e60/63/70/90 cars. Not interchangeable. You need the new "High" disk.

Thumbs up Upgrading to V32

Hi,

I am new to this.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone on this site for all the help shared.

Now, I bought an E39 with MK4 (4-1/12) recently. With the help to this site, updated to V31 i.e. 4-1/00. Also 'got hold' of 2009-1 dvd and its working fine too. Did I do the right thing by updating it from very old to a newer version by skipping all the versions in between??

Also can I / should I updated to V32?

Regards & TIN

Sohail
