Lucky you, here in Norway we pay the same for 01 x5 3.0i as you do for a brand new x5 48! A new e70 3.0d here is abaut 180.000.- Dollars.

Yeah, I visited the BMW Norway site a few weeks ago. The taxes and prices are insane.

its crazy but true

the cheaper bmw in europe you find in france lol

in greece a x3 2lit petrol 40000 euros which should be 30000 max

BMW makes its profits in Europe and Asian markets in order to help offset the slim profit margins in the US market.

I don't know why automakers don't just all charge more in the US for cars. I've configured various subcompacts in Europe, and although they are a relative bargain compared to a BMW, €25k for an Opel Astra is on the pricey side.

If I ever become the king of BMW of Americaland, I'm gonna ratchet up base prices 15%, charge extra for stuff like cruise control (most Americans dont use it anyway), and put in more models and options. And of course, I'll promptly be fired.
